Safari Add-ons

I use a website called WeatherTap on my iphone to view weather radar/satellite. However the animated radar does not animate in Safari on the iPhone. I am assuming there is a flash/java issue. I do know that the WeatherTap site uses animated GIFS to produce the animated radar and satellite views. Is it possible that someone can create an app for a Safari Add-on that will allow Safari to animate thiese pages?
