I'm all about consolidation! What do you guys think about these apps?


- a LAUNCHER identical to Categories, but that will allow several programs to be consolidated into one to assist with the 80 app limit issue.

- The ability to customize a LAUNCHER to access file directories. Would be especially handy with the MMS app (you have to go through Finder now). The program would simply have an icon that would launch this directory and the program would allow the user to create the directories they wanted to access. Or for app limit sake, maybe one icon with an interface like Big Boss' speed dial.

Hmm -- I'm not sure how you'd consolidate several programs into one and have them work. Seems like you'd have to pretty much rewrite each one to somehow interact with the others and allow each one to stand on its own when running. Also, that would require the cooperation of several program authors, and they'd all have to agree on a standard for consolidation.

I don't think it would work.

Categories doesn't consolidate Apps, it only consolidates their icons. The Apps are still present in the file system, so categories or any program like it wouldn't help at all.

Finder is a Launcher. For MMS you can also install and use MobilePreview.
