Non-A2DP Music Through Bluetooth
|
Hi,
I'm just wondering if someone could write an app that will let iPhone stream music through a bluetooth device. I know that we've all been waiting for someone to come up with A2DP enabler for iPhone, but it sure doesn't look forthcoming anytime soon.
And, you may be wondering what exactly I'm talking about when I say Non-A2DP. Well, I have read numerous posts about the infamous trick to hear music through bluetooth when playing music and going into the voicemail to set audio to bluetooth. As far as my understanding and posts by others go, this is not a A2DP. Still though, it's better than nothing, right? I could use this trick to listen to music until true A2DP app comes up. So, I'm wondering if someone could write an app that will have control over the audio setting just like how we change it in voicemail section but only better. The biggest problem with this trick is that when your iPhone goes into sleep/lock, you can no longer hear music through your bluetooth because the voicemail section gets closed automatically. And, yes, you could technically set your phone to never sleep/lock. But, then, it will run down the battery quickly. So, if someone can design an app like an audio-controller that will simply activate the bluetooth sound (though not A2DP) by tapping into the same function in voicemail but will stay running even after iPhone goes sleep/lock, that could be realy useful. Sure you'll still hear your phone playing music through speaker phone, but I personally don't find that a big problem. It's not like that's so loud, and I mainly listen to my music in a loud gym. I figured an app like this shouldn't be too difficult to write and would simply get us by until true A2DP comes out, which we don't know when....
