There is always that one person that says this. Why bother texting someone at all when you can just call them? Because getting your point across via text is a lot different than getting it across by talking to them. Sometimes, you say things you want to take back but you can't when you SAY them. If you're texting, you can always go back and reread your text before you send it. If you want to text something that's really long to someone, being able to say your text would really be helpful.

I've used it, it's alright but I can never get it to read my very last message received and even to get to the second last message received, its all the way at the bloody bottom!

For the same reason you text them now.

It would also be great for texting while driving, it would be a lot safer for the driver and every other person on the road.

My main reason for texting is because when I call someone I usually engage in a long conversation... and phone calls require almost full attention whereas texting takes a couple of seconds and bam! you can get back to what you're doing.
