Watch Movies via Harddrive!!!

Ok. I have this tiny hard drive that's 100 GB. About the size of a Nintendo DS.

It would be cool if you can load movies onto that hard drive and then connect it to the iPhone and have the iPhone watch movies from the hard drive. The hard drive could come with an AC adapter so you can charge the iPhone at the same time. Hopefully I painted the picture well for you guys.

Hmmm, I would think it could be coded to work. Dunno about the transfer rate, but im sure it could be buffered out. And would also need the drive to accept USB connection.

i know this has nothing to do with iphone transfer speeds. but i watch blue ray movies sort of this way..

i use my media laptop thats tucked away into my home theater neatly, use my other laptop to remote into that, download movies to external hard drive then use my xbox 360 to play them from that. so i know 2.0 is definatly worthy. just dont know the speed of the iphone.. i would think atleast 1.0 and this is definatly possible for a divx or something similar. quality would be awsome!

someone should work on this. I think it would be possible. Someone can make some money by making usb cords that will fit into the hard drive and into your iphone. That would be sick. I would imagine that by connecting to a wire it would be better for viewing movies than by doing it wireless. Am I correct?

While I completely agree that this would be a great idea, your thread title sucks. It is very misleading with the "exclamation points" You should replace them with question marks. It give the impression that this is already possible.

The title was meant to attract people to read and bump it up to the top. It worked.
