Carrier Names

I was wondering if there was an app that could manipulate the iphone to read the alpha tag from phone instead of sim. When I go to network selection I just see my carrier's name "LaWard" listed three times. They have roaming agreements set up with ATT & TMobile that is what it is picking up but is reading from sim and displays LaWard for ATT and tmobile. I would like for the iphone to read the actual carrier name not just the name the sim is putting on them. I was able to do this on my old motorola via a seem edit. Don't know much about the iphone just got one.

Thanks.
