if somebody could do this, i think an app that would simply disable the music cover flow would be awesome! i googled ways to disable it, but ive never found a straight answer and have seen many people wanted to disable this feature because its terrible!

I can understand what you mean. I personally don't find cover flow so useful as I never really sync full albums... simply my music selection doesn't work well with cover flow, but it is a great feature. So it becomes annoying when it rotates, especially when I'm laying down resting trying to scroll through my music library. A simple disable setting would be nice.
