A new kind of IM Client
Ok, I have been looking FOREVER for an IM client that works in the background, AND when I get a new message, It give me a PREVIEW like SMS. It would be great an I would be willing to donate to whoever made an app like this. If there is one, please tell me.

as of now i think mobile chat (which isnt that good because of their servers) is the best for that purpose. you can set push to text so you will get an sms with the message

Yes, But I have to quit the application to see what the message is, open up the IM client, then go back to what I was doing. I want to be able to see the message and see if it is worth responding. I have programed in an Object based environments (Java) and would be willing to learn iPhone (Coca Touch) to build this. One thing for after about an hour looking is that I can not find a way to put one of those bluish popups up on the screen.
