Not a full app itself but it would be amazing to have a way to mod the SMS interface so that you can tilt the iphone sideways and have the larger format keyboard like you are able to do in safari. I am sick and tired of all the edits i have to do because i have fat fingers. Please! Please!

I am waiting for Apple to do this... the BlackBerry Storm will have these and other features we have been asking for with the iPhone and it should be just awesome. Hopefully RIM's decision will be enough of a kick in the pants for Apple

I use iRealsms. Works nice. But it is a paid app.

My only complaint with it is that the interface presents the SMSs in email time order format, not the thread conversation format that the original SMS app uses. Probably the reason is the lack of screen space.

There might be a way but probably too hard... I only say this because I would have expected to see something like this by now if it were an easy thing to accomplish

The only two ways to have this feature is for apple to integrate it in a new version is their app, or it to be a separate app.
