SMSD ported to 2.1?

Any kind person with those qualifications?
How difficult would it be?
The developer doesn't seem to care since a good way back...

A 3rd party SMS app with among others a function where you can pick a number from any of your contacts and SMS to someone else. There are also SMS forwarding and template functions.
The best SMS app that worked on FW 1.1.x

biteSMS does all of that except templates. It is free and can send via carrier.

I mean, these programs are pretty small and simple. If you can't see the option to do that then it isn't there

Erm, ahh, gaahh....
Don't know what to answer to that, but are you for REAL?

If a function isn't there it isn't? How smart must you be to figure THAT?

Ever heard of development or request?

Open biteSMS, tap the text field, then right-swipe inside the text field to pull up a short cut menu... Happy days...

Thank you Disfordog!!!

Your suggestion has made life so easy!

I was missing SMSD ever since I upgraded to 2.1. Once again sending contacts & fwding sms is so simple using bite SMS.
