this is for 2.01, not 2.1...

but while we are on this topic and 2.2 is coming out soon, think we can get a new version made? one that actually works though?

This (or any other volume boost hack) doesn't ever work. I've tried all of them on every firmware and none have ever made a significant difference... I gave up on them a while ago.

I know there are boost that works. On my phone version 1.1.4 i downloaded volume boose 1.1.4 which works very well.

On my fathers phone he is 2.1 firmware and the volume is very weak compared to mine. I am still looking for a volume boost hack for 2.1 firmware

Is your father's phone a 2G phone? If it is a 3G then he should have it looked at because the 3G's stock sound is way better than the 2G.

If it is a 2G just roll it back to 1.1.4 and install the boost you were talking about.

I had 1st generation iPhone v1.1.3. No problems.
I restored to v2.0.2 and now everyone says I sound very muffled and hard to hear.

Does anyone know why?

Ive noticed the same volume issue on 2.1
the biggest difference is the ring volume. its so quiet, that if my phone is in a different room i dont hear it.
is there a volume hack for this too?
