Okay, so I know there's a good fair share of app requests for a verticle/horizontal keyboards for certain apps.

I think its quite pathetic that of all of the proloaded apps for the iPhone, that only one of them supports a widescreen keyboard. And that app is slow and buggy at best.

What I propose is not to completely rewrite all of these apps, because that would be inefficient and time consuming, and not to mention the bugs that would go with each and every application, but to rewrite the keyboard itself.

I'm not sure how difficult this would be (or if this is even plausible). I just know that iAccess did something similar to this with their "happy input."

Any input on this idea?
Or, by chance, a developer's take-up on the project?

Waste of time. If the iphone had a horizontal keyboard people would be asking for a vertical keyboard so they could see more of the screen.
