Well, i mean...come on. Do you really expect to have MMS capabilities when you are only buying "the most advanced media phone ever developed" HAHAHA LOL. Yeah, it sucks.

(Flutter 1.0 sucks, so wait for the 1.1 update though, see last post)
swirlyMMS wont work with 3G AT&T users though.

it would work if you had mms enabled on an AT&T family package.

Can you confirm that is still the case?
According to the swirlyspace forum link in my last post, AT&T actively matches the IMEI numbers of iPhones and blocks MMS traffic. I read if you take the sim and put it in another regular phone, MMS will work a few hours later. Once you put the sim back into the iphone it will only work for a few hours and then be disabled once again.
Since the first gen iphone can be "unlocked" they can spoof the IMEI number
The iPhone 3G cant be unlocked so they are not able to spoof the IMEI number
Either way, even if it did work I'm not on a family plan.

Someone just confirmed SwirlyMMS working on his 3G iPhone with AT&T
It looks like it's possible to get SwirlyMMS working with AT&T and 3G iPhones after all. Read this:

How should I reply to the email? (see post)

same, im in australia on optus network. swirly works like a chamion, sure theres the occasional error trying to send but a close and re-open usually fixes it.
worth the $8.
(i used the default motorola settings from SwirlyMMS Automatic Settings and it worked a treat)follow me on twitter @mbliesner

Thank you guys,
I cannot get swirly to work on my 3G.
I do not have the settings for MMSC, Proxy, APN, etc.
I guess we just have to wait for AT&t to release something and rob us for another $5.99 or so per month.

considering most iphone users use at t, and swirly mms only works for a fraction of people on at t, maybe my idea could be useful??
