Iphone MMORPG?

Conceptually a sweet idea, but is it possible? I've been talking with some people(conceptualizing) about the possibility of an iphone MMORPG, possibly with a golden sun(gba) style, but with an open world and connectivity of an MMORPG via the iphone(I personally have never participated in any mmorpg; however, this seems doable). We may just be dreaming, however, I think this could be fun...and for whoever could program it, quite profitable. Any thoughts?
