Apps that May Cause Lock Screen to Freeze

I'm running 2.0.1 on my unlocked/Tmobile 2G phone. Since i've upgraded, I quite often have a problem with my lock screen freezing, which means I can't "slide to unlock" or tap anything on the screen (I have "intelliscreen", so I have email/SMS on my lock screen). I often have to shutdown/restart just to be able to unlock.

I figure it was Intelliscreen, so I disabled it and unfortunately, the problem is still occuring. I've noticed people have run into the problem in the past when using iblacklist. I don't use that program, so it can't be that.

Has anyone run into a similar problem and figure out the culprit? I'm getting desperate here. Thanks in advance!

Edit:Some of my apps:

Winterboard
Customize
MxTube
NES
Tuner Radio
Cycorder
Cydia
intelliscreen
Boss Prefs
Boss Tool
Pushr(flickr)
MLB At Bat
Launch
Facebook
Installer
Rename
Snapture
SpoofApp
SwapTunes
SwapBT(problem was happening before downloading this)
Mobile Banking
Lockbox

I had the similar issue on 2.0.1.
Upgraded to 2.0.2 fixed that problem.

Seems to be freezing even more now-especially when in charger or near time taken out of charger. Anyone else?

Well, I just tried that, when the 2.0.2 came back and it didn't work.

I had 2.0.1 and I updated to .0.2 via iTunes, then quickpwned it. still freezes up.

Do you advise restoring it another way, by any chance?

I read that the new firware 2.1 will take care of the lock / freeze issues. Assuming we're talking about the spinning wheel of death that forces a restore? That's the problem I've been having with the 2.0.2 firmware! Had to restore 8 times. I've loaded fewer apps from App Store and don't mess with Winterboard after installing a favorite theme.

According to BigBoss website...

"2) Appstore Works! Apple finally solved the app mapping issue (sort of). I have been ******** about this problem since 2.0. Once you have a lot of apps or certain apps installed, AppStore becomes basically useless. Many people have experienced a spinning wheel of death after installing an app because the iPhone Springboard mapping agent had to remap all the files on the iPhone everytime something was installed. This has been solved via a cache file. So new apps get added and the file does not need to be rebuilt everytime. The result: you can use your AppStore! And Cydia! Yay."

This quote was taken from the news page at sleepers.net Hope it's ok to put that up...just trying to help.

I can't wait to upgrade to 2.1, but I'm Windows user and need winpwn 3.0! I'm getting very anxious, but you can't rush it!

I know this doesn't necessarily help you, unless you're willing to upgrade to 2.1 with Mac.

That's actually not the problem. Thanks, though. My problem is: When on the lock screen, I can't "slide to unlock". I'm frozen there. I've updated FW, Restored to factory, pwned, etc. Nothing works. It even happened when my phone was restored to factory settings, in recovery mode where I could only make a 911 call. UGH!!

Could my lock screen freezes be because of how I charge my phone? SEEMS like it mostly "acts up" when I'm charging it or finished charging it via a USB>PC charger. Last night, I charged it via a dock connector>wall charger and it was 98% fine. Now, i'm at work, plugged it in via USB and of course, it's freezing up again. What do you think?

Had this problem since 1.1.4. It's gotten better since upgrading to 2.0...I think it had something to do with my using ZiPhone to jailbreak....
