Hoping someone can make a simple app to poll the GPS to find out how many satellites it can see and/or are locked as well as the strength of the signals, etc. Would be very useful for those of us that want to test GPS but are too cheap to pay for data to have Google Maps working all the time.

I'm still looking for a telenav app of something with turn by turn assistance. But who knows nowadays.

I'm looking for the same. From what i hear though is the antenna is to small to handle turn by turn. All we can do is wait and see though. I would hate to admit that apple has brought us an iphone 3g with gps that is just as accurate as holding a map book in my hand.

well of course a real turn by turn solution would be ideal but I was just hoping, at least for the interim, we could have a information app for testing the capability of the gps to hold a fix.
