Today Screen

I used to use a Pocket PC then a Palm TREO
On both of those they have a today screen that lists any appointments that day or the next however many days you choose. It also has tasks notes emails unread etc.

Can someone create something like this?
It is really the only thing I miss from my TREO

I think the app called Caterpiller has that, but it costs money.

Checked out catapiller app and its very pricey and its a subscription ?????? No thanks. This should be built in to the phone software and not a subscription. But it shows it can be done. Palm windows symbian and some plain ol cell phones do this "today" thing already. I'd love to see someone do this.
