Look into the iphone

Ok, so now im good with copying photos off the iphone to the computer but how about music,apps, etc..... Im use to being able to goto my comp, open up what ever the device is and Bam, i got all the files im looking for. The iphone is not like this......

Is there a program or anything i can do that im not doing already to get the files i need. ?????
