Keyboard turns when texting! Or is there such a thing already???

I would like it, that the keyboard turns sideways when I'm texting, like in safari....the buttons are bigger and it's easier and faster...is there such a thing or can anybody make this happen?

Nice first post...except for the fact that this has been beaten to death for an entire year now. Did you honestly think you were the first person to think of having a sideways keyboard when texting? To make that happen in the original apple sms app, the binary would have to be edited which apparently isn't possible yet. I believe one of the third party sms apps has sideways texting but I'm not sure.

...so why didn't Steve think of that? ...kinda like the recessed jack for the headphones....

EDIT: Does the new iphone have that feature?

No, it uses the exact same firmware as the 1st gen iPhones do and they have the same apps. Also landscape keyboards are a little overrated in my opinion. They take over half the screen and its impossible to read what you type if its long. Trust me after a few weeks when you get used to the standard keyboard youll not even want a huge keyboard

Yep, a landscape keyboard would be pretty stupid. Anyway, the letters are so far apart it makes it harder to type with one finger
