Comic Book Viewer
A comic book viewer would be amazing for the iphone.
This is to view files with cbr or cbz file extension on the iphone.
On Windows this is currently done with CDisplay CDisplay Comic Reader
On Mac I use FFview.
feedface.com/software/FFView
Any smart way to zoom into panels to read the text and flip pages is what Im looking for. If you want an example of cbr or cbz file IM me.
They are basically rar and zip files with jpegs listed. More info here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_Book_Archive_file there are others.

I know this post is a month old but this is a much needed app for digital comic readers/iphone owners so it deserves a bump.. its amazing how there are multiples of the same type of apps floating around but noone has put the effort to getting this type of application up a running yet. I hope someone here on MMI or a developer who is part of the guest traffic sees this and decides to create such an app...and SOON

Do let us know how it turns out! I look forward to having comics on my phone

*edit*
From reading, it looks like this only supports ZIP files, so if you have any CBR's you will have to exract and re-compress all of them to use them
Still looking.
*edit again*
After installing this app and trying it with CBZ files, it is rather nice
Also, using ComicRack to convert my CBR's to CBZ's seems to work flawlessly as well. A bit of a bugger, but it works.

My way is easier.
Open in ComicRack, File Save as EComic ZIP. Saves it as a CBZ.

Good idea, good implementation, but you know, personally I like more standart ones, like Stanza (free - if you cant afford wasting money on book readers) or Readdledocs ( app that has a complete set of functions including e-mail and bookmarks -which are usefull - but you need to pay for it ;s )
So, overall, everyone choses the best app for his own.

This is a thread about reading 'graphic image' comic books not reading text based books. iComic is free and available for jailbroken devices.
