Is there currently a way to listen to music from my own streaming server (I use Shoutcast to stream continuously from a media player). Usually I've just loaded the stream into another music player, but iPhone is different.

Also, is there a way to listen to music straight from a network share over a LAN?

I've been Orb (MyCast your digital media with Orb 2.0 remote pc access software) to get all my media to my iPhone...they have a web app and native app that work great...

supposedly, if you expose the files you're looking for in an iPhone compatible format, you'll be able to play them right from links on a web page...etc...googling "stream to iphone" has some useful results on that...

Thanks - I'm looking at Orb, Tversity, Simplify Media, and Telekinesis, hopefully one of these works with me, unless there are better options.

I'd like to be able to have a playlist of songs, instead of getting one song at a time (the web links option you suggested).
