"iPhone! Disappear me!"

Check it out, LOL.
Anyhoo. Sure its possible, it takes some nifty programming skills though. Samsung has added voice to txt to one of their phone models (I forget which one) and Palm has voice recognition software for the Treo. it's just a matter of getting someone whose up for the challenge.Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Nikotalkie!
Look at this!
http://www.nikotalkie.com/Home/tabid/62/Default.aspx
This is the closest you will find out there for the iPhone. I think its a great app
!
Later,
RaMod
PS: Download!!
Send voice messages to your friends, download Nikotalkie software.
Current version : 1.4.0
Download Nikotalkie
If you use one of the installers there might be a delay sometimes till the newest version shows up. The people who maintain the installers are very busy and do that on a voluntary base to make your life easier:-) So kudos to them..
Or simply download it from http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/ or http://pxl.ibrickr.com/RaMod!
If I helped you out, please press
... thanks!

seriously with things i have seen on the iphone i believe almost anything is possible. all those alternatives that people provided are useless, for me at least. i would want it for text messaging really. i donno, hope someone develops something soon.
