    Default Increasing Ring on iPhone?

I've always carried Sony Ericssons. And they had an option for increasing ring. The ringer starts silent, and the phone just vibrates, then as the ring continues it gets louder and louder so it doesn't just start at full blast.

Is there any piece of software for the iphone that does this?

Not on the iphone itself, but you could create a custom m4r which started off silent and then got louder to get them same effect. I use Audiko for my ringtones and I am sure you can tweak the output file to give this effect.

I don't believe so at the moment. The only thing you could do is create a custom ring tone that gets progressively louder and load it on. Good idea.

@Robcoffee - beat me to it! ha
