Menu Problem

i have installed some softwares through installer... after i installed i had found that installer app is not on menu screen... i am not able to scroll down for the installer app... can anyone plzz help me with this....

You need to install summer board or springboard to be able to scroll through the main screen.Apple has locked that!
I think u will have to restore nw and again get installer n firstly install summerboard n then go about installing applications!

By d way, does resetting the phone erase my phonebook data? How can i back it up?

ssh into your phone, and install dock.
