i know aircrack can hack wifi password.

wep cracking doesnt only rely on brute force. Parts of the WEP key are transmitted with each packet so if you sniff a big number of them you can crack it

And there are several apps that will do this on OSX as well. However it *can* (but doesn't always) take a couple of hours to collect enough packets for the program to be able to piece together the WEP password. That's not exactly what the average unscrupulous-iPhone-user-on-the-run would find useful, I'm guessing.
