I think there's a better chance of getting Open Office ported.

An exact copy of MS Word? Imagine the size of that file...

This is something of what I was suggesting awhile back (if you search for my posts, you will find something related to a Office Suite).
But yeah, The iPhone & iTouch can do so much, and I can't believe nobody has taken the time to realize these devices are made more for just fun & games & customization. I am sure things could be changed forever with the likes of a office suite with Word, Presentation and Spreadsheet editing. This would bring the iPhone & iTouch a lot closer to its full potential for business & educational use.

I do think it will be very hard for it to be made, but even if it is, it would be huge.

well i think it's a great idea...
the file size would be huge, and that's the only real downside.

you could just get the part that interprets .doc files from open office and just make a simple .doc editor then youd at least be able to email it to your co workers as a winmobile phone can

On the 2.0 you can read office documents but you can't write, I don't think a microsoft office app would happen, but maybe another port.

This is like the ultimate app I've been waiting for as well. I agree with "ma5t3rw1tt" the iPhone seems like it was made for ******** games, who really wants to play games on a phone. The only apps I really enjoy are Customize, Lyrics, Mxtube, Wedict and Wallpaper. And even with those apps I really think the iPhone is capable of better things. I know I own one but this is not the so called "Jesus Phone" I'm considering of selling my iPhone or just upgrading to a smartphone and just go back in forth with the sim card.
