You put the washing machine and set my timer to remind you. Then same for the dryer.
But the washer is 38 min and dryer is 50 min!
Wouldn't it be nice to have an app dedicated to this that knows how many loads you put as well?
For now its just an idea. Any developers interested please contact me! Thank you! -Shai

Ummmm ...... set multiple alarms ... easy.

yes, you could do that, BUT. then it doesnt tell you how much time is left for each load and every time you put the washer you have to say "ok, its 4:27 + 38min thats..."
I'm lazy yes, but I think this is a helpful app. And a simple for anyone that wants to develop it

we can make a laundry app....but we cant port a scientific calculator

ok guys, yes this is a simple silly app, thats why I originally intended it for iappaday.
Anyhow to answer questions.
Use the Timer- Yes you can do that, BUT, what if you put the dryer and the washer? you only have 1 timer. I use the timer on my casio watch, but like on the phone its a pain to have to go between 30 min on the washer and 48 on the dryer.
Loads- # of loads you put to wash. Sometimes we put 3 washers and then 2 dryers. How this works out I dont know. Its like the whole 8 hotdogs and 7 buns thing.
Sad day- no, not at all, just bored and looking for any excuse possible to use my iphone
Am I lazy - hell yes, thats why I bought the phone in the 1st place! LOL

Damn -- and I thought this was going to be an app that would actually do my laundry.

Still not following on the loads...
Say I load one washer - I wait 38 mins.
If I load two washers - I wait 38 mins???
So, why bother with # of loads? Do you want to start/stop them separately to track the few extra minutes b/w loads? My guess would be you should start timer with first load, then when it goes off, by the time you move load to dryer, 2nd washer load will be done, etc.
So only need two timers?

I'm getting a headache

The app might be able to do your laundry by version 3 or 4
As far as the loads the only reason is because sometimes we load 3-5 loads then I find myself 40 min later asking "how many did I out again?" so it helps to justhave that info there

if the washer is 38 minutes and the drier is 50 minutes, you go to switch out your laundry in 50 minutes, since you kinda need the drier to be empty to put more clothes in it.
on the other hand, if you have many washers and driers, you set the timer for the shortest interval necessary to come back. you do not need separate timers just because the drier takes 12 minutes more. you set it for 38 minutes, then when you come back, you see how much time is left on each machine, and set the timer for the smallest interval remaining.
the idea of a program that attempts to calculate an hours long procedure for doing laundry ahead of time is not practical because it does not take into account the times you don't come exactly at the right moment, and you will just fall behind on this schedule. once you fall behind, it is worthless, because when it alerts you, nothing will be ready.
stick with one timer and one brain.

ok, I guess I need to do a better job of explaining how this app works and why I would need it and how it would be used. I'll write it all out and post it shortly
