Would it be a possibility to have a native file browser that could provide copy, paste, and delete functions, similar to Windows Mobile based phones? I would love to be able to move some files around on my iPhone on the fly!
are you kidding? Because the iPhone does have a couple programs that do just that... there is Mobile Finder, File Browser, Squid, and there may be some others... just do a search or look at the productivity category on installer. They have been around for quite a while
Ah! I was hoping for a reply just like this. I do have Squid, but it is only used to browse files and set permissions, which does nothing for me. I'll be on the look out for the other two though. Thanks you very much!
no problem... mobile finder is what Ive been using for months and it does copy, paste, move, erase files... there is a new app out called FileBrowser which does the same... it is said to be better than Mobile Finder but to each his own... both of these apps also will lanch pictures or txt files to be viewed.. although mobile finder req you to install the plug ins for that.
I installed Mobile Finder and it's more than I could ask for. My reasoning is that I can find and download ROMs (that I otherwise legally own, of course) from iSlsk, move them to their ROM directory, and then play them.
The iPhone is an amazing machine. Even more amazing are the programmers.
