Hi there, I'm part of the development team (graphics artist) for a game called Hedgewars. Hedgewars is a turn based worms clone, it's completely open source, is feature packed, and very well polished, complete with network play!

The Hedgewars engine is written in Pascal (FreePascal compiler), frontend is in c++, Qt is used for frontend and SDL and OpenGL for engine.

Unfortunately neither of our coders have access to an iphone/itouch and as such an Iphone port from us isn't going to happen.

We're looking for someone to work closely with us to get the game ported to the iphone, we think it could be a great app, especially since the game is turn based, network lag wouldn't be an issue.

The game also runs very very well on very weak hardware, we've had reports of over 150fps on 300mhz machines.

Wow! This definitely does look like a great game! I will gladly take a look and see if it can be ported over to the iPhone. I will try my best.
