Hey guys.

This is big for me on whether I get an iPhone or iTouch. Right now they can only play MP3s at 1x (but Audiobooks from 0.5x to 2x).

I know I can always file convert but that takes time.

Is there an application hack or a hacked media player on the iPhone/iTouch that EXISTS or CAN BE MADE for more control over audio playback speed for MP3s.

I listed to audio mp3 lectures for my college courses on my computer. I want to listen to them on an iPhone or iTouch but only if I can bump the speed up.

Please let me know if this is possible, has been made, or could ever be possible.

I did at one time have an installed PC app that converted mp3 to AA format, with the advantage of bookmarks as well as speed changes.

Do a search for that.

I think this was it.

there is an app for mac called audio book creator I use it all the time it converts mp3 into book markable AAC files.
