Android Scan for iPhone

How awesome would it be to see this on the iPhone. Here's a link for information but in a nutshell this Android program uses a camera to "Scan" the bar code on a product and then brings up various information such as price and stores in the area that have the product in stock.

That's exactly what I'm working on. At this point, we have a working barcode scanner in Ojbective-C, but the images from the phone's camera are too blury. If you have any expertise with image processing (e.g. unsharp mask), I could sure use some help.
