iPhone Synth
Hi everyone,
I'm currently developing a simple synthesizer for the iPhone. At the moment it contains a sawtooth oscillator(not bandlimited or anything), a lowpass filter and a keyboard. This is a very early alpha, I don't think i've spent more than a couple of hours coding it, but i'm looking forward to improve it. One cool feature though is that you control the lowpass filter by tilting your phone.

Nice, you should make an installer source for it, theres a tutorial around here somewhere. But it's so cool!

Great idea!
I can't produce any sounds with it yet though. any thoughts?
running 1.1.1
dragged app to applications folder using fetch.
The app launches, but no sound and then after a few seconds it kicks back to the home screen.
permissions are 755

Great to see that all you guys seem to like the idea.
New version out! This version includes a 16 step sequencer with the ability to change length and oscillator type(sawtooth, square or noise) individually for each step. I've also improved the oscillator(bandlimited, finally!).
I will look into making an installer for it.
I've tested this version both on a 1.1.1 and 1.0.2. I've also tested it on an ipod touch 1.1.1 and it works. The volume was a bit low though on the ipod.
Please read the readme.txt before installing.

Just installed the update.
It seems to be working fine with 1.1.2 also.
I had to change some permissions, but now it's cranking.
This is by far one of my favorite apps yet! cheersLast edited by ninepins; 11-20-2007 at 01:10 PM. Reason: because

any hope of this app being developed any further?
I've got a 3g Jailbroken 2.1 phone, and am just entering into this world
I've read a bit, but it doesn't appear that there is any mention of development ceasing, unless I missed something.
