You do know that iPhone is missing necessary hardware?
There is a reason why iPhone doesn't wash your dirty clothes and doesn't cook for you. It was not designed to do it.
The same thing applies to FM radio.

Yes, the hardware isnt in the iPhone but what stops apple or some hardware genius to make a FM receiver and put it where the connector is? Someone did the same thing for GPS so... why not for radio?

LOL! Yes. But that's why the iPhone doubles as an iPod...
If you really want to listen to the radio, go to your closest electrical store and buy a $10 mini FM tuner...16GB iPhone 3G

Also, I would love it if someone could make an app that makes a hardware d-pad and two buttons appear, next to the home buttom. It would be great for gaming!
Oh, and I don't know if this can be done, but if someone could program a slide-out qwerty keyboard, that would also be great!
Thanks!
