In Pocket Ipod Controls
Anybody think there should be an app so that u can skip a song by holding the volume button instead of having to get the phone out your pocket?

You can use your mic button click it twice fast or use the pocketTouch app from installer. It is on the ipod touch fans source.
Don't be shy if I helped you use the Thanks button, I do it.

Yes I agree,It was pretty handy in my SE and is not to use when using headphones, is more when you driving.
I try the Pocket Touch app. while driving today and is good but I prefer to have the screen off and just used the volume keys for skipping a song and volume.
My 3 cents...Last edited by chrisperro; 04-07-2008 at 04:21 PM.

i really dont understand pocket touch. It doesnt do a thing for me. I play a song and then launch pocket touch as the app requests. I then get a black screen. I have tried swiping up down left right with and without the screen locked and nothing happens. Could anyone explain what I'm doing wrong?

This would be nice, mainly because the headphones it comes with are garbage (and so are the $80 ones apple sells)

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Id love an app that would use the volume buttons for iPod control. I have nice headhones so the mic remote us a no go and my iPhone is always in a zip case so taking it out of it for Pocket Touch finger swipes beats the purpose of an in-pocket solution. I can press the volume buttons from the case just fine though.
Ideally, long presses would be used so you don't lose volume control. A long press of the volume up button would skip to the next song while a long press of the volume down would play/pause the track.
Is this doable ?
