Thread: Broken power button - stuck in DFU mode! HELP

    I put my iphone into dfu mode using the redsn0w DFU ISPW. I then tried to downgrade it to ios 6.1.2, but it didnt work. The iphone dissapered from the itunes, and all other jailbreak tools. My power button is also broken. Help, what should I do?

    that was for entering DFU mode, I want to get out of it. (I did those excat steps to get into it though)

    You could always restore it to 4.1 just to get it up and running. Then you can see what you can do from there. Apple may just replace it for you so that could work too.

    Maybe try and jailbreak it I wanted to jailbreak my iPod 4th Generation and my home buttons broken so I also done DFU IPSW but I cant turn it on now! There might be a way to just find a new IPSW that works and then just jailbreak it then just boot it and then on itunes i think just select your backup for it to load!

    There are 3 things you can do:
    Restore it to 4.1.
    While its stuck in DFU mode let the battery die.
    Take it to apple and see if they will replace the power button, but make SURE you are on 4.1 when you take it in and not in DFU as they may raise suspicious of Jailbreaking or Downgrading. Hope this helps.
