i am attempting to jailbreak my iphone3g which had already been done but after a mistakingly trying to upgrade from 4.1 i lost everything & rebooted the fone losing cydia, ive got as far as redsn0w waiting to reboot but after 30mins wait it still at the same bit.......plz help

If you are on windows vista/7 run redsnow as admin and in windows xp compatibility mode.
