IPHONE 3GS UPGRADE 5.0 to 5.1.1 ??

I have an old iphone 3gs on version 5.0 that i would like to jailbreak.
The home button is broken so i am unable to put the phone into dfu mode making me unable to use the redsnow jailbreak.
I was reading that the absinthe jailbreak does not require you to go into dfu but requires 5.1.1 firmware.
Is is possible to still upgrade to 5.1.1 atm? Or must you upgrade to 6 and downgrade?

If ya have the shsh blobs for 5.1.1 you can go to it. Or you can use with a broken home button.

With redsn0w, you can create a custom ispw that will put your iphone into DFU mode.

I have the same case as you say. I must justboot every reboot your iphone. When i upgrade to fw5.1.1 with redn0w.
my iphone stuck in DFU mode. can not escape.
