Downgrade from 6.0 to 4.1 - Error 28

Hello, I'm new here.
I have an iPhone 3Gs with iOS 6.0 installed. I wondered if any SHSH were saved in saurik's servers(from a previous jailbreak). I received 4.1 blobs from tinyumbrella, which is either due to the fact that someone jailbroke the phone at an earlier point, or the fact that apple still signs 4.1 blobs.
Regardless, I can't get it do downgrade to 4.1. I've tried with and without tinyumbrella, dfu mode, pwned dfu mode, recovery mode, baseband preservation mode in sn0wbreeze, stitched blobs from ifaith, and various combinations of the above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I've also tried using both Mac and Windows on different PC's, including my hackintosh partition on my own PC.

If you have your shsh blobs saved for that firmware you wish to downgrade too, your best option is to restore using the latest version of redsn0w.

Why would you want to downgrade to 4.1? Most apps are updated for the newer iOS thats out. So that means some apps won't be compatible with your iOS.

Attempted redsn0w restore. Got "iTunes Error 28" message box. This is frustrating.

I think 4.1 is still being signed by apple for 3GS...that's why it's there..

Did TU show any others?

Well, from TU I got the 4.1 from Cydia and when I deselected the "Retrieve SHSH from Cydia" box, I got the 6.0 blobs (obviously). I hope I can get this resolved soon; I NEED SBSettings!

Well SBS doesn't all work on iOS 6.x...

That's not the point. The point is I should be able to downgrade but I can't. Still looking for insight.

You aren't using TU when u downgrade r u?... Should be able to create custom no baseband IPSW in redsn0w or snowbreeze of 4.1 put in pwned DFU mode and restore with iTunes without using TU at all..make sure in TU that u go into advanced tab and that the set hosts to Cydia on exit is NOT checked...and close TU...
