10-11-2012, 05:07 PM #1I have completely SCREWED UP my iPhone3GS
I need some serious help...
After jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS with 5.1.0 iOS, I was not happy that I could only turn it on with redsnow (Tethered Jailbreak) with this Jailbreak I also flashed to the ipad Baseband (6.15.00).. So I did bunch of things to downgrade my iOS and tried just about everything but I am stuck with a bricked iPhone.
The Apple Logo does not even come up anymore, it is just a White Screen. After I hold down the Home Button and Power Button, the screen goes black (I assume it goes to DFU mode). Any restoration I try brings back the WSOD.
I want to completely reset my iPhone back to normal what can I do.
when I put it pwned DFU mode and try an apple restore with a custom IPSW Get error(s) 28 & 1600

Error 28 is never the best error normally means hardware error

Hardware error. Return your device to Apple if possible. The problem is a bad dock connector on the iPhone. Must change the connector.
If you have tried almost everything, reset the logic board (leave uncharged for five days or remove battery for half an hour), then pwn and restore. If this doesn't work, the memory of your device is damaged

I have not tried resetting the logic board.. I also get error 1600 sometimes...

1600 error is this.
Custom firmware can't be restored on a device with DFU Mode. The software of the device isn't patched. Using a jailbreak tool, enter a pwned DFU Mode. During that process the software gets patched and the custom firmware should run without any problems.
APTicket problems if you try to restore to iOS 5.x in the DFU Mode.
If trully stuck (even with an regular iTunes Restore), edit the hosts file and comment out the "guzzoni.apple.com" line

the custom firmware restore gives me error 28...

Which leaves to hardware issue sounds like a trip to apple for a fix or git ya a new one

Update: Error 3194 on stock firmware.

Apple is still signing 4.1 I believe u will need to make a custom ipsw to get pass the baseband install and use ireb to prep the device and then shift restore to the 4.1 ipsw u made and should be fine. U may have to edit ur host file but should not have to. This will work if apple is still signing 4.1
