Iphone 3GS 5.16.05 Baseband Question?

Hello All. I just got a Iphone 3GS with 5.0.1 Version with 5.16.05 modem firmaware I just saved the SHSH Bloobs and One of the bloobs is giving me is the 4.1 (8B117)..
Can I downgrade to that version so I can unlock with Ultrasnow? if I downgrade will he keep the same baseband. 5.16.05 witch I think is unlockable.

You'll be able to downgrade the firmware to 4.1 but the baseband will remain the same, which isn't unlockable.

that is correct!

what you can do is downgrade to 4.1, then use redsn0w 0.9.14b1 to downgrade your baseband to an unlockable baseband and you will be able to use it on another carrier network

I myself am using an iPhone 3GS running 5.0.1 on 05.16.05, and YES I am both jailbroken and unlocked.

If you have 5.16.05 baseband then you are not unlocked using ultrasnow.
