firware for iphone 3gs
Hi
I am new to all of this but I have a problem with my phone. I have spent the last week trying to unlock by downgrading my firmware (my phone had one that could not be unlocked). Now I have no firmware at all. My phone just keeps turning on and off and I had reset it as a new phone. Would a Factory Reset solve the problem? Please help as I do not want to be stuck with a useless iphone.

Put iphone into recovery mode and restore to 5.0.1 using latest iTunes. If you error at 1015, you want to restore to custom firmware of 5.0.1 and you need to pwned dfu your iphone first.

Firmware for Iphone 3gs
Went home from work last night and grabbed the phone. Went to Settings, General, Reset and hit Erase all contents and Settings. The phone went straight into recovery mode. When I left for work at 1200 it was still in recovery mode. I will not get home until approx 22.30 tonight and I bet it is still recovering. I think I will just bin an expensive phone and forget all about this and carry on with my IPhone 4.

Its a program that you have to download on your PC and hook up the phone to it and do kick recovery to get the phone out of recovery mode.
Hi, what baseband does your phone have now? If you updated your baseband, that is non downgradable even if you go back to a previous ios.
How old is your phone? Need to know to see if we can help you unlock it if you did upgrade your baseband (which i suspect you did).

6 something? 6.15.00 is ipad baseband and it is usually installed by the user in order to unlock a locked phone with a baseband that is not supported by ultrasn0w.
Is the phone responsive? I can give you instructions on what to do.pM me if you like when you have the phone.

Hi managed to stop recovery and started as a new phone. The IOS is 5.0.1 and the firmware has gone, there is nothing there. Network (Network 3) is not showing and phone keeps rebooting. I originally tried to upgrade to IPad Baseband but whatever was happening did not work. ITunes will not let me restore. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
