3G with 5.0.1 - Help me

I just bought this phone pretty cheap today off some turd off CraigsList. It came with 5.0.1. . WTF?

It works, everything seems fine but the phone will just not get signal.


There has to be a way to fix this. I tried everything, I seem to have found a 4.1 blob, but I can't restore anything. I can't drop any other firmware on either. I jailbroke the 5.0 but it does nothing different. I also tried the 6.16 baseband.


There has to be a way, it's just a old 3g.

If it has 5.0.1 on there then it is a 3GS. Not a 3G.

What is your modem firmware/baseband and what carrier are you trying to use it on?
