Lightbulb How do I DOWNGRADE a ALREADY Jailbroken 3gs???

This is my issue, I have the iphone 3gs and I jailbroke it using redsn0w. The phone is currently the 4.3.5 version and I use the 4.3.4 ipsw to do the jailbreak (Iphone still shows it as 4.3.5).

I want to downgrade to 4.3.3 so I can have the full untethered. But I'm not seeming to be getting very far. And not even tiny umbrella notices my iphone.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong???

    Any help REALLY appreciated

You cannot downgrade to 4.3.3 unless you have 4.3.3 blob saved. Check with tiny umbrella if you have the blob. If tiny umbrella does not recognise your device, retrieve your ECID and manually input it to download your shsh blob.

You would not use those 4.1 blobs. People have problems restoring with 4.1 blobs bc Apple still signs 4.1 for 3GS users.

All you need to do is do a standard restore down to 4.1. If you get an error 1015 then all you need to do is use TinyUmbrella to exit recovery.

If you have blobs for 4.2.1 or 4.3.3 then you'd use those blobs.

    Hi
Even I have got the same problem. I have 3GS with 4.2.1 & baseband 6.15. I did a untethered jailbreak on it earlier but I am experiencing problems with push notifications & intermittent problem of the phone getting restarted when opening some app.. These push notif.s are not working & some friend of mine suggested me to downgrade to iOS 4.1, by using the original ipsw from the apple. Any idea if this is going to solve the problem. I have downloaded the iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw from The iPhone Wiki. Then I plan to use the tutorial - iClarified - iPhone - How to Downgrade Your iPhone Firmware Using TinyUmbrella (Mac).
I don't know what to do next.
    1) Do I need to unlock the phone first for using it with my carrier & what tool do i use for it?
    2) Do I also need to jailbreak it & if yes whats the process?
The end result should be that my Push notifications should work & also this intermittent problem of the phone getting restarted when opening some app. should go away.

    thanks

Create a custom firmware of 4.1 from Snowbreeze 2.1 and place it on your desktop.
Use Expert mode : uncheck > activate iphone . Use an official sim to trigger from emergency screen to Homescreen to avoid Notiificatioon issues after the restore.
Put your iphone into pwned dfu mode.
Run itunes : shift + restore to cfw of 4.1
Go to cydia and install Ultrasn0w to unlock your iphone.

We don't support piracy. You won't get help with that here. Pay for the apps.
