Iphone 3g Stuck!!
I bought an Iphone 3g off ebay a couple of weeks ago started experiencing problems with 'no service' (its jailbroken) took it to a phone shop they said its running an old OS which it was 4.2.1 and that it needs updating and i would lose the jailbreak so i went ahead plugged it into itunes and it said it was already up to date so i decided to restore it which i now regret as it said error1015 and is stuck at the itunes screen. Im not clued up on much about iphones tired downloading tiny umbrella to kick it out of recovery mode but my laptop wont download that. Im soooo gutted as its new and now its broken and i dont have a phone at all
someone please help and make it very clear what you mean cause like i say im not clued up on all this
thanks

you probably had an iphone that was updated to ipad baseband, to fix it have to restore using a custom firmware made with snowbreeze

First of all, you should tell the people you went to that they need to do their research before talking. The iPhone 3G only goes up to 4.2.1. It can't be further updated.
If it can well you don't have a 3G, it'd be a 3GS.
Second, attempt to resolve your 1015 error by running TinyUmbrella's "fix recovery" option.

id say use RecBoot.zip, but dont use the program itself click exit.bat

I would still suggest using TU.

i suggested recboot b/c when tinyumbrella wouldn't do anything for me that command line bat was a simple click and it worked. thought it may help someone else, sometimes these programs dont want to run for windows 7. didnt want to be confusing or unhelpful.

I understand. I find TU best for 1015 errors. However if it ever comes to it I'm sure Recboot is an alternative.
