Hi there thanks for reading. a while back i had a normal 3g and unlocked and jailbroke it easily. i just came across a 3gs and its locked with 4.3.5 i have no previous backups of this phone, is it possible in anyway to downgrade and if yes how so. i tried reading up but am quite confused by the SHSH and other stuff as jailbreaking the 3g was much cleaner and simpler. help would be much appreciated. sorry for a duplicate post as im sure others have asked the same thing many of times. have tried downgrading to 4.1 and 4.3.3 and wont work added host.

I am in the same boat. Picked up a 3GS for the old lady and it's running 4.3.5. Now I'm jailbroke on 4.3.3 untethered. That's what I would like for her so she can get MMS. The iTunes on my pc has 4.3.3. Can I restore the newer phone to this??
