1015 error when trying t odowngrade to 4.1

i just tried to downgrade my iphone to 4.1 and it shows me the 1051 error. and now it is stuck with the itunes and a cable picture on the screen. can i get some help.

im trying to get from 4.3 to 4.1. sorry im a noob. walking me thought it would help me out.

When 4.1 was the current firmware for all devices did you have it jailbroken and clicked make my like easier?

You cannot downgrade if you do not have the SHSH for 4.1 saved. Bascially it is the keys to allow itunes to install the firmware.

You can download tinyumbrella and it will tell you what SHSHs you have saved.

yes i have it saved. in TU.

im in itunes right now and it is telling me to set it up as a new phone.

if itunes is asking you that, then just set it up as new phone because your 4.2.1 backup wont go on it. where its an old firmware and 4.2.1 is recent
