I have tried to downgrade my iphone from 4.3 back to 4.2.1 i keep getting the 3194 error. i changed the host code thing in notepad. and saved it as all files. and i still get the error. can anyone help me with this problem.
3194 is the error for lack of SHSHs or like Stray said, not using TinyUmbrella's TSS Server. You need to use TU to click Save SHSHs to see if you have 4.2.1 saved, and if you do start the TSS server then try the restore. If TU reports you do not have 4.2.1 SHSHs saved, you cannot downgrade.
Ok it looks like you have 4.2.1 and 4.3 SHSHs saved. But could you just click the Save SHSHs not the Display SHSHs button, then post the log so I can read it to see if you have 4.1?
Edit: I mean 4.2.1 not 4.1. Just seeing the log will confirm if they are saved for sure. The display shows it but I just want to be sure

You have to run redsn0w's boot tethered whenever your phone shuts off or reboots. Your phone won't work until you hook it up to your computer every time it has to reboot, like if you download something that requires a reboot from Cydia or if your phone runs out of battery.
