Default This might sound a little nooby but iv had a little idea

Basically i have an iPhone 4GS with firmware version 4.3.
I recently jailbroke it with sn0wbreeze but am getting kind of annoyed having to plug it into my pc every time i turn it on. a friend of mine has an iPhone 4 running firmware 4.2.1, would it be possible to backup his iPhone on my pc, then restore mine with his backup file and use an untethered jailbreak for 4.2.1?

Or am I just being nooby an should try to find another way of doing it? haha let me know what you think and/or if theres any reason why it wouldnt work? Any help advice or thoughts would be would be much appreciated

It won't work. You have to "install" the OS, and you can not install 4.2 on your phone because you do not have SHSH blobs saved for your phone (they are device specific).

You have no choice but to wait for the untethered jailbreak for 4.3, or 4.3.1 whenever it comes out.
