Iphone 3gs 4.2.1 Unlocked?

Is it true that you can't unlock 4.2.1 with the updated baseband?
Except the only option is to use snowbreeze 2.2.1 with the custom firmware?
If so, I've tried the snowbreeze, but after I go into DFU and tried to install the custom firmware, I get the "the firmware is not compatible"
Anyone else having or had this problem? I need tips and pointers. Very lost.

However! Just a hunch... is A1241 Iphone 3GS or Iphone 3G?

I swear if it comes out Iphone 3G I am going to make that ebay seller pay.

Only way to unlock that right now would be to use redsnow to update your baseband to the iPad one. You will lose gps if you do though.

and downgrading don't work huh

You can downgrade your firmware but not your baseband. Unless you have 5.8 bootloader. There may be another unlock without needing the ipad baseband at some point though.
