No service 3g 3.1.2 with 5.12.01 help please

Is there a fix for this setup?. I used blackra1n and then sn0w. Put a valid card in and still shows roger as the carrier. Do I have to upgrade, and if yes which firmware is suggested or do I have to wait for a fix?

Why dont you shift+restore to 3.1.3 which is still unlockable , use redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak, open cydia and search for ultrasn0w to unlock.
